Support for study, research, teaching, and practice
The Law Library provides borrowing, research assistance, interlibrary loan, study aids, technology, and specialized support for the OU Law community. We also serve attorneys, alumni, other university users, and members of the public who need access to legal information.

Services for Students
From course reserves to research assistance, Law Library services are designed to support students throughout the academic year and make it easier to find, use, borrow, and request the materials they need.
Course Reserves
Course materials, study aids, and other high-demand items are kept in the Reserve Collection with shorter loan periods so they remain available to the class.
Study Aids
Students can use print and online study aids from major legal publishers, including current materials held in the Reserve Room and additional titles in the stacks.
Interlibrary Loan
Currently enrolled OU Law students, faculty, and staff may request books, articles, and other materials from libraries outside the Law Library collection.
Copy & Scan
Photocopiers with scanning and email functions are available in the Law Library. A book scanner is also available for convenient scanning of books and other library materials.
Materials & Lost and Found
Circulation staff can help locate missing materials, place holds on checked-out items, and direct students to the Law Library's Lost and Found process.
Services for Faculty
The Law Library supports faculty scholarship and teaching with research services, acquisitions, document delivery, research-assistant support, instruction, and tools for staying current in a field.
Research Assistance
Law librarians can consult on research projects, help develop a research approach, identify relevant sources, and assist with complex legal research.
Acquisitions & Delivery
Faculty may request books, articles, and other research materials for purchase, borrowing, or delivery to support scholarship and teaching.
Document Delivery & ILL
The library can obtain materials from other libraries and can assist with retrieving or returning materials from Bizzell Memorial Library.
RA Training & Support
Law librarians can orient faculty research assistants to library resources, provide research instruction, and serve as a research point of contact.
Current Awareness
Faculty can receive assistance setting up research alerts and other current-awareness tools for topics related to their scholarship and teaching.
Course Research Instruction
Law librarians can provide customized legal research instruction for substantive courses and collaborate with faculty on research-focused assignments.
Attorneys, Alumni & Public
The Law Library also serves the Oklahoma legal community and the public. Available services depend on patron status and resource licensing, so visitors should review access information and current hours before coming to the library.
Bench & Bar
Attorneys may use the Law Library's extensive print collections, legal research resources available on site, and reference assistance for locating and using legal information.
